Privacy Notice

This notice explains how PHINE ACADEMIC SOLUTIONS LLC handles information connected with the Florida Biology EOC Review Course.

Information we collect

Account information: participant name, email address, account identifier, role, and account dates. Supabase handles authentication credentials; we do not receive your readable password.
Learning information: saved course progress, completion status, interactive responses, and assessment state associated with the account.
Purchase information: payment status, amount, currency, Stripe checkout reference, access dates, and refund-related records. Stripe processes card information; we do not store full card numbers.
Technical information: browser storage needed to operate and synchronize the course and technical logs that may be generated by our hosting and service providers.
Support communications: information you include when contacting us.

How we use information

We use information to create and secure accounts, process purchases, provide and restore course access, save progress, operate interactives and assessments, provide support, prevent fraud or misuse, maintain the service, comply with law, and enforce our Terms.

Service providers

We use service providers that process information for course operation, including Supabase for authentication and database services, Vercel for hosting and deployment, Stripe for payment processing, and video providers such as YouTube when embedded videos are viewed. Their handling of information is also governed by their respective privacy terms.

Sharing and sale of information

We do not sell participant personal information. We disclose information to service providers as needed to operate the course, when you direct us to do so, to protect users and the service, or when required by law. We do not use participant progress to advertise third-party products.

Browser storage and embedded content

The course uses local browser storage to retain and synchronize progress. Authentication and service providers may use cookies or similar technology needed for login, security, payments, and embedded content. Embedded video providers may receive technical information when their content loads.

Retention

We retain account, access, progress, acceptance, and transaction records while reasonably necessary to provide the service, resolve disputes, prevent abuse, maintain business and tax records, and meet legal obligations. We may retain limited records after account deletion when required for those purposes.

Your choices

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of account information by emailing avery@phineacademic.com. Deleting required account data may end course access. We may need to verify your identity and may retain records that law or legitimate business needs require.

Minors

The service is not offered to children under 13. Learners ages 13-17 may use the service only with parent or legal guardian authorization. A parent or guardian may contact us regarding a minor learner's information.

Security

We use access controls and reputable service providers designed to protect information. No online system can guarantee absolute security. Please use a unique password and notify us promptly of suspected unauthorized access.

Changes and contact

We may update this notice and will post the revised version with a new effective date. Material changes will be communicated when reasonably appropriate. Questions and privacy requests may be sent to avery@phineacademic.com.
